01

The brief

Turn a former print hall into a gallery and shop where the work is lit by daylight, not spotlights.

02

The approach

We opened one long skylight along the roof and painted the hall in warm lime plaster. Plaster plinths and movable walls let the gallery change for every show.

03

The outcome

Most shows now hang without artificial light during the day. The shop pays for the building's running costs.
